Grand Cru
Founded in 2018 as a cannabis seed bank developed from Spain, though our history as growers, consultants and pheno-hunters dates back to the 2000s.
We have a multidisciplinary technical team with an Agricultural Engineer and collaboration with Complutense University of Madrid and an expert in tissue culture and plant breeding as well as a team with over 15 years of experience in the cannabis industry.
Our work focuses on creating and selecting varieties to offer high-level genetics to growers seeking real results in flower and extraction.

Origins
Where we come from
For years we worked with our own selections, internal crosses and lines from international breeders, seeking specific genetic traits: yield, speed, resistance, structure, flower quality, extraction returns and terpene profiles with their own identity.
Grand Cru came from that. The idea was to maintain the same method when we started selling: few lines, each one well-developed, and to honestly explain what each one does.

Terpenes
The search
for terpenes
If there's something that defines our work, it's the search for terpenes. We don't just look for productive or potent plants, but aromatic profiles that have character, depth and the ability to repeat themselves across different grows.
We select plants for their organoleptic expression, but also for their real behaviour. We smell, compare, grow, repeat and send samples to the lab to understand each line's profile with objective data.
We work with classic genetics, elite American lines and our own crosses, always with the intention of fixing aromas that add value to the grower: candy, gas, Kush, tropical fruit, cream, Z, banana, grape, citrus or complex earthy undertones. The goal isn't to follow trends, but to find combinations that really work in dried flower, resin and cultivation.

Hashletics
Profiles for
hashmakers
Much of our work over recent years has focused on developing lines aimed at extraction. We call this line Hashletics, a project designed for hashmakers and growers seeking varieties capable of delivering yield, resin quality and stable terpenes throughout the extraction process.
In Hashletics we don't select solely for flower yield. We evaluate the resin plant by plant: trichome density, head size, ease of separation, WPFF behaviour, dry yield, wash quality and aromatic persistence after extraction.

Method
Thorough testing
Our method combines practical experience and technical expertise. As a multidisciplinary team, we integrate knowledge from agronomy, cultivation, data analysis and production management to make more precise decisions during the breeding and selection process.
All varieties in our catalogue have been thoroughly tested in different growing environments to rule out any malformations, hermaphroditism or genetic incompatibility. We assess aspects such as vigour, structure, stretch, resistance, yield, aromatic profile and returns with different extraction techniques.
