1. Shipping
We prepare your order the same day if you place it before 5pm Monday to Friday. After that time or at weekends, it goes out the next working day. All shipments come with a tracking number that you receive by email as soon as the package leaves the warehouse.
When is shipping free?
Shipping is free when your order meets both of the following conditions:
1. Order value of £60 or more (final price after discounts, before shipping costs).
2. Delivery to mainland Spain.
If your order is being sent outside the Peninsula (Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, Portugal, rest of the world), the system automatically calculates the shipping cost based on the destination. You’ll see the exact amount at checkout before entering any payment details.
Delivery timescales
| Destination | Timescale* | Cost** | Free shipping from |
| Mainland Spain | 24-48 working hours | Calculated at checkout | £60 |
| Mainland Portugal | 24-48 working hours | Calculated at checkout | — |
| Balearic Islands | 2-4 working days | Calculated at checkout | — |
| Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla | 2-4 working days | Calculated at checkout | — |
| Europe (EU) | 3-7 working days | Calculated at checkout | — |
| Rest of the world | 7-15 working days | Calculated at checkout | — |
* Timescales counted from warehouse dispatch (you receive a tracking email). Orders placed after 5pm on Friday go out on Monday.
** Exact cost visible at checkout before payment: add your products to the cart and enter the destination to see it broken down.
If your order includes multiple items, everything ships together following the timescale of the item with the longest preparation time.
How we package your order
Your order travels in a plain brown cardboard box with no logos, with no stickers saying "cannabis", "seeds" or similar, and with no mention of contents. The sender appears as the company name (Labris Lemon, S.L.), not "Grand Cru". The inside of the package is protected so that seeds arrive intact.
On your bank statement, the charge appears as Labris Lemon, S.L., with no mention of Grand Cru or the sector.
Couriers we use
We work with Correos, SEUR, GLS, UPS and Palletways. When your order goes out, you receive the tracking number and a direct link to the courier’s website so you can see the status in real time, change the delivery time or reschedule the address if needed.
International shipping
We ship to Europe, America, Asia and Oceania. The exact cost and timescales depend on the country and local customs processes, and are calculated automatically at checkout before payment.
Import duties and taxes, where applicable, are the responsibility of the customer in accordance with the legislation of the destination country. Cannabis seeds are sold as a collectible product and their import may be restricted or prohibited in certain countries; it is the customer’s responsibility to know and comply with the legislation of their destination country. If you have any doubts about your specific country, contact us before purchasing.
2. What if your package arrives damaged, incomplete or doesn’t arrive?
It arrives visibly damaged or dented
If you see a dent, visible break or the package is open when you receive it:
1. Take a photo of the package before opening it, with the delivery driver present if possible.
2. Tell the delivery driver that the package is damaged and, if they offer, sign marking "damaged" on the delivery note.
3. Email us at info [at] grandcrugenetics.com within the first 24 hours with the photos and your order number.
We respond within 24 working hours with the solution: replacement of the product or full refund, whichever you prefer. We cover the costs.
A product is missing from the order
First check whether the delivery note shows that the shipment went out in multiple packages. If everything should have gone together and something is missing, email us at info [at] grandcrugenetics.com with your order number and we’ll send the missing item at no extra cost.
The package doesn’t arrive or is delayed beyond the expected time
The timescales we indicate are estimates: they can be extended due to peak season, holidays or courier issues. If you have no news after the maximum timescales, contact us. If the courier confirms that the package is lost, we resend your complete order. All our shipments are covered by the courier’s standard insurance.
3. Returns for change of mind
If you change your mind, you have 14 calendar days from when you receive your order to return it, with no need to give a reason.
How to proceed
1. Email us at info [at] grandcrugenetics.com stating your order number and what you want to return, or download the withdrawal form and send it to us. We’ll respond with instructions.
2. Package the product well protected. You may have opened it to examine it, but its use must have been the minimum necessary to check it, as if you had seen it in a physical shop.
3. Send it to the address we provide. Return shipping costs are your responsibility.
4. Once we receive and check its condition, we refund you by the same payment method within a maximum of 14 calendar days.
What you cannot return for change of mind
For legal, health and product protection reasons, returns are not accepted for:
| Cannabis seeds once the manufacturer’s sealed blister or container is opened (breaking the security seal compromises its preservation). |
| Perishable products or those with an approaching expiry date. |
| Personalised or made-to-order products. |
| Products sealed for hygiene or health reasons whose seal has been broken. |
| Unsealed products whose condition prevents them from being sold again. |
If the product arrives defective or is not what you ordered, it’s not a change of mind: it’s a return for non-conformity and is handled under the Warranty section. There we cover the costs.
4. Warranties
Each product you buy is covered by two different warranties. Understanding which applies in each case helps you know what you can claim and from whom.
Legal warranty
All new products come with 3 years of legal warranty from delivery (Article 120 of the Consolidated Text of the General Law for Consumer Protection and Users, as amended by RDL 7/2021).
It covers lack of conformity of the product: that it is what we promised, that it matches its description and that it has the qualities reasonably expected of it.
- During the first 2 years any defect is presumed to have been present from the start.
- From year 2 to year 3 it is your responsibility to prove that the defect existed from the beginning.
Seeds are a collectible item and genetic preservation product with a packaging date and expiry date: the warranty covers that the sealed container, labelling and variety match what is described, within the date indicated by the manufacturer.
Manufacturer warranty (seed bank)
Many seed banks also offer their own commercial warranty. It is voluntary, its content and duration are decided by each bank (for example, a replacement warranty for defects in the original batch or packaging), and during that period replacement is usually faster because the manufacturer covers the direct cost according to their own terms.
The important thing: a short or limited manufacturer warranty does not cancel your 3 years of legal warranty against us. Once the manufacturer’s warranty expires, you are still covered by the legal warranty — the difference is that the process is handled with us and the legal warranty rules apply (burden of proof from year 2 onwards, distinction between defect and improper preservation or use).
Seed preservation
Seeds are sold as a collectible item and genetic preservation product. Their state of preservation depends on both their original quality and the storage conditions after delivery, which are beyond our control.
This means that:
- We cover defects of origin: defective batches, sealed containers damaged at the factory or products that do not match the variety described or advertised.
- The commercial warranty, where it exists, is defined by the manufacturing seed bank: for it to apply, its conditions must be met (expiry date, intact sealed container and proper storage).
- We do not cover product deterioration resulting from improper storage (heat, humidity, light exposure) after delivery.
What the legal warranty covers and does not cover
It does cover: defects of origin, products that do not match what is described or advertised, and batches with factory packaging or labelling defects within their validity date. While you are without the product due to replacement or substitution, the warranty period is suspended.
It does not cover:
| Improper use or handling of the product after delivery. |
| Damage from improper storage (heat, humidity, light exposure) after delivery. |
| Products with the manufacturer’s sealed blister or container open, tampered with or concealed. |
| Products whose manufacturer’s container or label has been removed, damaged or concealed. |
| Any use other than collectionism and genetic preservation, which is outside the product’s intended purpose and Grand Cru’s responsibility. |
How to file a warranty claim
1. Email us at info [at] grandcrugenetics.com with your order number, a description of the problem and photos or videos if possible.
2. We respond within 24 working hours with instructions. If your product is still within the manufacturing seed bank’s commercial warranty period, we handle it through that route (faster). If not, we process it directly under the legal warranty.
3. We collect the product (or you send it to us, depending on the case). The return shipping cost for warranty claims is our responsibility as long as the lack of conformity is confirmed.
4. We offer repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the case and in accordance with the law.
5. Frequently asked questions
My order is over £60, why am I being charged for shipping?
Free shipping from £60 applies to orders sent to mainland Spain. If your order is being sent to the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, Portugal or any other destination, costs are calculated based on the zone. The system shows you the exact amount at checkout before payment.
How does Grand Cru appear on my bank statement?
It appears as Labris Lemon, S.L. The words "Grand Cru", "seeds" or anything related to the sector never appear.
Can I pay on delivery?
Yes, for shipments within the Iberian Peninsula for orders of up to £999.99 with no extra charge.
Can I change the delivery address after placing my order?
If the order hasn’t left the warehouse yet, yes: email us at info [at] grandcrugenetics.com as soon as possible and we’ll change it. If it’s already with the courier, you can do it directly from the courier’s website using the tracking code we sent you by email.
Can I pick up my order at a collection point?
Yes: convenience points like GLS Parcel Shop, depending on availability in your area.
Do you really do discreet shipping?
Yes. The box is standard brown cardboard, with no logos, no stickers mentioning the contents, and the sender is the company name, not "Grand Cru". It’s one of the things we care most about.
What happens if I need to return an order sent to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla?
The same right to withdraw (14 days) and the same legal warranty apply. Due to the customs peculiarities of these destinations, the costs and timescales for return shipping may be different: contact us first and we’ll tell you the exact procedure.
Do you accept returns of seeds?
Yes, as long as the manufacturer’s sealed blister or container is not open. Once opened, the security seal is broken and returns for change of mind are not accepted. If the container arrives defective or the product does not match what is described, contact us: we’ll handle it as a warranty issue.
Can I cancel my order before it goes out?
Yes. Email us at info [at] grandcrugenetics.com as soon as possible with your order number. If it hasn’t left the warehouse yet, we’ll cancel it and refund you in full to the same payment method.
I need an invoice with company details. Do you issue them?
Yes. Indicate it in the notes field when placing your order or email us afterwards with your company name, tax ID and billing address. We’ll send you the invoice by email.
What’s the difference between legal warranty and manufacturer warranty?
Legal warranty is the 3 years mandatory protection the law gives you against Grand Cru as the seller (Article 120 TRLGDCU). It cannot be reduced. The manufacturer’s commercial warranty is voluntary and additional: its duration and content are decided by each bank, it serves as a shortcut for fast replacement during that period and, when it expires, you are still covered by the legal warranty — only with the legal warranty rules (Grand Cru handles it, distinguishes between defect of origin and improper preservation or use).
